Important Information About FDIC Coverage at Ameris Bank.
FDIC Deposit Insurance has permanently increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor.
Ameris Bank participates in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program.
Under this program, through December 31, 2012, all non-interest bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. All Ameris Bank IOLTA accounts and NOW accounts earning an interest rate of 0.25% or less will be covered until 12-31-10. The Transaction Account Guarantee Program does not apply to nor impact interest-bearing money market sweep accounts or repurchase agreement sweep accounts.
